Dancer of the Week – Anisa Krouse

Our most recent Dancunnamed-3er of the Week is Anisa Krouse. Anisa is a 13 year old girl with huge dreams! She has been through a lot but still puts a smile on her face because she loves making people happy. The reason she says she has been through a lot is she was adopted by her grandparents when she was just one year old. Then her Papa died very unexpectedly a year ago, and her Mom fell and broke her hip this past March. There are many other things, but these three things were very traumatic for her.

Anisa’s family moved to Iowa from California when she was almost two years old. She started taking dance lessons at Almost Famous Dance Studio with Amanda Hackney when she was just three years old.unnamed-4

Her happiest moment in dance was in June, 2015 at Nationals at the Dells, where her solo placed 3rd overall. She was then qualified to perform at Grand Nationals which is a honor. She had danced her solo, Soul Shine, which was one of her Papa’s songs and she performed it in memory of him. Then to dance it at Grand Nationals was very special.

Anisa has always wanted to model ever since she was chosen as a runner up in NAM and went on to Nationals in California several years ago. That was an honor to be chosen out of many girls in Iowa.

She says her experience buying from Bailar Dancewear was great! She had looked many places and finally found exactly what she was looking for at Bailar Dancewear. Also, they called her to see if sheunnamed-2 needed it right away, so they could get it to her quickly if needed. They did get it to her quickly and she really appreciated it.

Anisa’s goals for the future are to get involved in modeling. Also, she hopes to compete at the Elite level in dance this year and hopefully dance very well. She is competing in twelve dances this year (2 solos, 1 trio, and 9 team’s dances). She is really looking forward to another great year in dance.

She hopes to make the dance team when she gets in high school. After graduating from high school, she hopes to go to the University of Iowa and make their dance team. When she graduates from college, she wants to open her own studio and be a very successful dance instructor.
