Different Styles of Biketards For Dance

I am Cyndi from bdancewear.com. In this video I am going to show you a little something about biketards. A lot of people have asked questions about them – about length, things like that.

  1. Halter Biketard

First of all I am going to start with the halter back tie. This biketard has a tie at the back of the neck. The reason we do that is sometimes girls have a little bit longer girth than others and we want the biketard to be flexible enough that we can make sure that everything fits. The great thing about a halter top is that you can take and adjust it so that the neckline is exactly the level you need so that you are not showing too much cleavage or anything like that.

  1. Regular Biketard

The other style we have is just your basic biketard with straps like on a tank top. We have made these straps so that you could wear a bra. The straps are not too skinny or too wide but you have enough coverage that you do not feel exposed when you are on the dance floor. This style also has the lining in the front to make sure you have extra coverage.

The inseam on all of our biketards, regular or halter, is about the same as our regular shorts. We designed the length of this inseam because a lot of our clients were using silks in their routines or doing acrobatics, Consequently, we wanted to make sure that the coverage stayed consistent so that when they wrapped themselves around, the biketard was not bunching up or when they were doing flips, it did not ride up.

There is double coverage on the front of all of our biketards no matter what is the color the biketard – it is not just one layer of Lycra. Whether you order from us or someone else, you really want that front lined so that it gives you a little extra coverage.

Another thing you are going to look for when you are ordering a light color like white, ivory or baby pink, is if there is a little extra lining in the back. Whether it is from us or another company, it is important to have that extra lining in the light colored biketard. The reason that is important is that when the biketard is a light color, it is possible that you will be able to see through the biketard and see whatever is going on with your underwear or anything else that may be visible in the back. Light colors tend to be a little riskier in that regard and you will want a little more coverage protection. We actually use a bathing suit lining. So, whether you buy your biketard from us or from someone else, make sure that you have that little bit of extra protection.
