Fairfield University

We have not yet had the opportunity to interview the Fairfield University Dance Team, if you are associated with the Fairfield University Dance Team please have someone from the team email us at Brittany@BDancewear.com to set up an interview (only takes a few minutes and it’s free).

In the meantime here is some quick insights about this Fairfield University Dance Team from their website.

Fairfield UniversityThe Fairfield University Dance Team combined with the Cheerleading Squad, Pep Band, and Mascot make up the Fairfield University Spirit Squad. The Fairfield University Dance Team’s primary function is to effectively execute a school spirit program that supports the athletic teams, entertains, and promotes the school itself. The team consists of select Fairfield University students who perform at the men’s and women’s basketball games, and provide performances upon request at special Fairfield University events and community functions. The Fairfield University Dance Team performs both at the 2,500 seat Alumni Hall and at their off- campus home, the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport. The team also travels to postseason tournaments such as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the NCAA Championships and the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) at the discretion of athletics. Members of the Fairfield Dance Team are required to fulfill their responsibilities as a representative of Fairfield University. Practices begin in early September and are complete by the first week of April. Dancers must be willing to give up certain days of their Fall, Spring, Winter, and Holiday breaks to cover events scheduled by the coaching staff. Events include but are not limited to Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Alumni Association Events and Pep Rallies, Community Service Activities, and Athletic Department Events.
