Rutgers University

We have not yet had the opportunity to interview the Rutgers University Dance Team, if you are associated with the Rutgers University Dance Team please have someone from the team email us at Brittany@BDancewear.com to set up an interview (only takes a few minutes and it’s free).

In the meantime here is some quick insights about this Rutgers University Dance Team from their website.

Rutgers UniversityThe Rutgers University Dance Team performs during every home Football game as well as Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. . These performances require members to know numerous band dances, cheers, and routines to be performed on the field during Football media timeouts and as half-time shows for basketball games. While they do not receive scholarship money, they are granted book stipends, as well as a varsity letter because of their hard work. The RAC on Livingston campus is their home. This arena is where they practice three days a week, 3 hours at a time, in preparation for games, marketing events, charitable appearances, and fundraisers. Each year they attend UDA Collegiate Dance Team Nationals. With top ten placements in both Jazz and Pom, the Rutgers University Dance Team places amongst the best in the nation each year as a result of the members’ incredible technique and dedication. As a member of the Rutgers Dance Team, one has the opportunity to find one’s niche in such a large institution and represent the university through a strong tradition of success, talent, and respect. The Dance Team trains during the summer and attends a collegiate dance team camp in August. They also build their technique while learning and choreographing routines.
