University of Wisconsin – StoutThe Blue Devil Dance Tea is the official dance team of the University of Wisconsin in Stout, Wisconsin. The Blue Devil Dance Team is a group of 20 to 26 beautiful and talented young ladies. Their dancers can be found performing at University of Wisconsin in Stout home football games, home men’s and women’s basketball games, appearing at various other athletic events, community events and competitions. Being a Blue Devil Dancer is a very large commitment and following academic studies, it should be a top priority for each individual participating. Representing the University and supporting the Athletics Department is the team’s main focus, but because of its competitive nature, there is a lot of work that goes into it. In order compete with some of the top collegiate dance teams in the country, a strong technical dance background is required. Each dancer must also be in great physical shape, typically a result of regular cardio and strength training exercises. To enforce all of this, the Blue Devil Dance Team practices three to four times a week, with additional weight training and Cardio workouts twice a week. The Blue Devil season usually starts in early August and ends upon tryouts for the next year, usually in April.
