Annette Musa is the Franchisee of the Phoenix Jazzercise Premier Fitness Center in Phoenix, Arizona. According to her, if you want that look good, feel great, got-my-stride-on-and-you-love-it confidence, Phoenix Jazzercise Premier Fitness Center is the place to go. They have got beat-pumpin’, bass-droppin’ workouts that incinerate up to 800cph (that’s calories per hour). These are the classes that’ll get you to your “after” picture.
In Annette’s opinion what separates her dance studio from other dance studios is that they offer 42 classes a week with a variety of formats and childcare. These formats include Strike, Core, Fusion, Strength60, Strength65, Lo, and Dance Mixx. Their 20 certified instructors, male and female, from ages 20-60, are professional yet fun.
Annette’s proudest moment coaching is seeing her customers feel the music, let loose and dance. In addition, she loves watching the many instructors that she has mentored over the years teach amazing classes.
Annette believes the biggest mistake she has seen dancers make has to do with their form. Having the proper form and technique is vital for safety and results. Dancers should always pay attention to form and before long it becomes instinctive. After you get that down, listen to the music and have fun!
Her goal for this next year is to introduce Jazzercise to the woman in her 30’s that is getting serious about fitness and does not want to follow a fad but find a fitness program that is lifelong. Jazzercise is a fitness program that has been in existence for over 40-years. This is a blessing and a curse. Some people think they know us, but they don’t. She really wants to change that.
Annette says when people hear “Jazzercise,” they of think legwarmers and leotards or a workout for your Mom but not for you? She admits their workouts got so popular in the 80’s that they created a fitness revolution that people still associate with them today. It’s true that they were the original dance party workout. But today the leotards—and the 80’s—are long gone and their classes are way too hot for legwarmers. However, they are still evolving and transforming people’s bodies and their lives.
She claims that the odds are that you will stay with their program for seven years. That is their average and they are proud of it. Why do people stay? People stay because Jazzercise keeps it fresh so you never plateau and never get bored. Jazzercise’s Founder and CEO, Judi Sheppard Missett, and their President, Shanna Missett Nelson, continually mix in new moves and new music to give instructors new material to teach and keep classes fresh throughout the year.
They have a variety of classes to challenge you – Strike, Fusion, Core, Strength and Dance Mixx. So how do you want to work it?
Jazzercise has been around for 45 years. According to Jazzercise that is because their program works! Jazzercize is a pulse-pounding, beat-pumping, body-blasting fitness program that gets you results fast. It is a high intensity dance party that fuses cardio, strength, Pilates, hip hop, yoga and kickboxing. Burn up to 800 calories per hour in any of their 60 minute classes.
Their “krew” is a group of likeminded customers, franchise owners and instructors united by their belief that exercise is an important aspect of living the best life we can. They acknowledge that staying fit is not only a physical challenge but a mental one as well. That’s why we’re in this together!
The Krew Phoenix Jazzercise is bonded by their love for this program and their instructors that encourage, inspire, provide accountability and motivate each and every one of them. The strength they gain in class translates to everyday living where life’s challenges can be faced head on.
Searching to find a program that works and one we can stick with is one thing we all have struggled with up until now. Annette admits that staying dedicated to a workout program isn’t easy, but being a part of a devoted group like Jazzercise makes staying committed to fitness not only possible, but a blast.
Annette started Phoenix Jazzercize because she wanted a beautiful, clean facility, where the busy woman could get a full body work-out in 1 hour and burn up to 800 calories while having fun! A place where from the moment that woman walks in the door she is welcomed by name and is never intimidated. Annette does not believe that the big box gyms provide that so she saw a definite need.
Phoenix Jazzercize is not just about fitness but about friendship. Annette says that with over 300 members you will make friends, find support, and make business connections! She is amazed at how supportive everyone is of one another. Regardless of your age, your size, or your income level (their monthly fees start at only $45.00 a month for unlimited classes), you will feel comfortable. They are a local, woman owned business. They listen, understand, and strive to help their customers get fit and enjoy the beauty of dance movement.
