The Dexter High School Dance Team is a self funded varsity sport at Dexter High School in Dexter, Michigan. There is no funding from the district and fees are paid by the participants directly to the Dexter Dance Team Booster Club. The dance team performs during the fall and winter seasons. The purpose of the team is to represent Dexter High School through state-wide competitions and performances; to promote school spirit and facilitate a bonding atmosphere for all team members; to promote healthy living and physical fitness; to entertain audiences at school and community events; and the dance team performs at all home varsity football games, varsity basketball games, pep assemblies, and parades. Being part of the Dexter High School Dance Team provides an opportunity for students to work together as a team while focusing on enhancing their dance team technique.
