We have not yet had the opportunity to interview the Pacific University Dance Team, if you are associated with the Pacific University Dance Team please have someone from the team email us at Brittany@BDancewear.com to set up an interview (only takes a few minutes and it’s free).
In the meantime here is some quick insights about this Pacific University Dance Team from their website.
The Pacific University Dance Team is an integral part of school spirit at Pacific University. The team performs at home football games, men’s and women’s basketball games and other on-campus and university related events. The Pacific University Dance Team also competes at regional dance competitions and, in the near future, hopes to be able to attend UDA nationals. Team members are required to be full-time Pacific University students during the Fall, Winter and Spring semesters and carry a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. The full dance team season begins at the end of August and runs through March. Auditions are held yearly in April and the prospective dancers need certain basic dance skills and will also be judged on attitude, ability to learn, enthusiasm, projection and overall performance. The dance program at Pacific University combines practical experience with rigorous academics. The program provides opportunities to perform, choreograph and study dance’s history and a cross-cultural perspective, all of which integrate theory and practice. Students graduating with dance training go on to work in a variety of fields.
