Riverside City College Dance Department is a comprehensive dance program offering a wide range of dance technique and academic classes for the beginning dancer as well as the dance transfer student. The Dance Department at Riverside City College continues its long standing tradition of presenting engaging and entertaining dance to Riverside and surrounding communities: Kinnetic Conversations, the annual Fall faculty concert, presents new work by faculty and guest choreographers, and Celebrate Dance, the annual Spring concert, focuses on the creative and fresh ideas of student choreographers. The RCC Dance Department also features a complete Pilaftes program located in the Eleanor Crabtree Pilates Studio on the City Campus, and a newly created Certification program for Pilates Instructors. The Dance Program at Riverside City College offers student dancers performing and choreographic opportunities throughout the year. Guest choreographers and master classes give RCC dancers a chance to experience a variety of dance genres and styles. The program also offers a full schedule of technique classes in the areas of modern, jazz, ballet and tap, as well as choreography and dance performance for the serious dance transfer student as well as the general student population. Technique and performance based classes are housed in the Huntley Gym Dance Studio and Pilates Building on the City campus.
