The Southern Connecticut State University Dance Team was formed in 2005. Comprised of talented and dedicated dancers, the team performs at various sports games in addition to competing at regional and national level college dance competitions. The Southern Connecticut State University dancers prioritize school spirit and make appearances and perform at many other university events. The team also values the importance of charity and are involved in events such as Relay for Life and Adopt-a-Family. The Dance Team is a Club Sports organization which is a competitive, recreational program designed to be an athletic alternative that bridges the gap between existing intramural and intercollegiate programs. Club Sports are open to all full-time under graduate students.
