Studio B Dance Company

Female GroupStudio B Dance Company in Liverpool, New York, is a studio focused on dance excellence in a family friendly atmosphere. Their teachers work to inspire and motivate all of their students on their journey, in the world of dance. Their goal is for all of their students to be well rounded, and leave their studio ready to go into the world with a clear sense of the artist and person that they are set out to be. It is important to us for each of their students to find their independence, and voice, while at Studio B.

Since Brandi Doyle, Owner and Instructor, founded Studio B Dance Company in 2006, the goal of Studio B Dance Company has been to provide excellence in dance training to all of the students who walk through their doors. They have worked to promote individuality in their dancers by encouraging creativity and building confidence through proper technical training. They have done all of this while at the same time maintaining their family oriented studio and positive atmosphere. Studio B’s students and their families are an integral part of what makes their studio special and ultimately successful.

Studio B is proud to offer dance opportunities for every age and level of dancer. Their recreational program caters to dancers who want the optimum dance experience with less time commitment. Their competitive program is the ideal program for the student who wants to put in the additional time and effort it requires to excel in the art of dance. Competition students must be invited to be a part of their competition team. Their curriculum includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tumbling, Hip Hop, and ALL BOYS HIP HOP!

Brandi believes that there is a studio out there for every type of dancer. What she believes Girlmakes their studio special is the relationships that are created there. For Studio B students to get the most out of their training, they need to have a very trusting relationship with their instructors. Studio B works hard to create choreography that is custom and unique because all of their students are individual and unique. She thinks a very special bond is created this way. The instructors also work to make dance available to EVERYONE! Dance can be a very expensive activity and Brandi does not feel that any student should lose out on the opportunity to share their gift just because they cannot afford it.

It is difficult for Brandi to pinpoint her proudest moment. She says she could probably create a long list of awards and accolades and choose, but truly her proudest moments happen every day. Watching their Pre K students gleefully take their classes, seeing the friendships and memories that are created, watching the pride in skills accomplished, and her teachers creating beautiful pieces of choreography. All of these moments create an overall feeling of pride for her every day.

In Brandi’s opinion, the biggest problem for dancers is a lack of confidence, especially in the pre-teen years. She finds that most corrections are resolved when a dancer has mentally convinced themselves that they are capable of doing it. A lack of confidence also makes the dancer look down a lot or not watch themselves in the mirror. Brandi and her instructors are always telling their dancers – be present, be aware, seeing is believing!

StretchingBrandi’s goals are always the same – be the best YOU can be. They do not spend their time as a studio, or with their students, focusing on their competition. They find that they are the most successful when their students are working towards their personal bests. They are attending Nationals this year so their students are driven towards making a great showing at Nationals!

She found her passion for teaching dance after high school, but had loved choreography for quite some time. Brandi had taught for a dance studio in her area for a few years and felt that she had a perspective of her own that she wanted to share. She felt that she could make a difference and offer something unique in their dance community.

Brandi started her studio out of a room at church preschool with absolutely nothing. She is now celebrating their 10th year in an over 3,000 square foot studio space. In her opinion, perseverance and a strong work ethic is engrained in the walls of Studio B. She hopes that their students have benefitted from the journey that their studio has taken and she cannot wait to see where the journey will take them.
