We have not yet had the opportunity to interview the Westlake High School Dance Team, if you are associated with the Westlake High School Dance Team please have someone from the studio email us at Brittany@BDancewear.com to set up an interview (only takes a few minutes).
In the meantime here is some quick info about this dance team.
Westlake High School Dance Team (Dance to Express, Not to Impress) in Westlake Village, California, is founded upon the principles of dedication, hard work and creativity. The team promotes school spirit by performing at varsity football and basketball games, school rallies and other community events. Westlake High School Dance Team is a nationally ranked team that competes in regional and national WCE and USA competitions. In the USA Nationals they won the 3rd place in intermediate dance, and Paige Ingles won the 5th place soloist. The team hosts an annual dance clinic and participants of the clinic have fun learning a routine and have the opportunity to perform with the Westwood High School’s Dance Team in their Spring Showcase. The clinic is later available on videos. The videos are separated by the age of the dancers (3 to 8 years old, 9 to 12 years old, and 13 to 15 years old) and also the whole clinic routine which gives dancers unable to attend the clinic to learn the steps and routines.
