Carthage College

We have not yet had the opportunity to interview the Carthage College Dance Team, if you are associated with the Carthage College Dance Team please have someone from the team email us at Brittany@BDancewear.com to set up an interview (only takes a few minutes and it’s free).

In the meantime here is some quick insights about this Carthage College Dance Team from their website.

Carthage CollegeThe Carthage College Spirit Team has an outstanding tradition of promoting school spirit and supporting Carthage athletic teams. The Spirit Team includes both the Red Hots Dance Team and the Torchie Mascot Team. Members of the Red Hots Dance Team are talented in various styles of dance including jazz, hip hop, and poms. The dancers are dedicated, hard working, and fun loving. The Red Hots perform at all home football and basketball games, as well as special events. In 2009, the team began competing and has since won several UDA regional titles in jazz and pom. Under the direction of Coach Amy Carter, the Dance Team was combined with the Cheerleading Team and the Torchie Mascot Team to form the Carthage College Spirit Team in 2001 and in 2002 the Dance Team was coined the Carthage College “Red Hots.” The Dance Team first competed at the UPA Americup National Dance Competition in Minneapolis in 2009 and the Dance Team took 5th place in the Jazz Division. In 2010, The Dance Team and Mascot Team performed at the Division III NCAA Sweet Sixteen Tournament, cheering on the Red Men Basketball Team. Then in 2011, the Dance Team first competed at the UDA Chicagoland Dance Competition at the University of Illinois at Chicago and took 1st place in the Jazz Division.
