Dance Stop Studios

We have not yet had the opportunity to interview the Dance Stop Studios, if you are associated with the Dance Stop Studios please have someone from the studio email us at Brittany@BDancewear.com to set up an interview (only takes a few minutes).

In the meantime here is some quick info about this studio from their about us page.

Celebrating over 40 years doing what she loves best, Lynette Strickland, Director, feelsDance Stop Studio’s greatest achievement is graduating students that are successful in life as well as in the art of dance.

Since 1974, Dance Stop Studios has been ranked as one of Atlanta’s largest and most successful dance schools. With the emphasis on dance as a rewarding and fulfilling experience, Dance Stop strives to meet the needs of every student interested in the art of dance. Great care and individual attention is given in nurturing the abilities of each student to achieve their fullest potential.

Our 13,000 sq. ft., state of the art facility offers a complete dance curriculum which includes instruction in tap, ballet, jazz and hip hop. A range of classes are offered for the pre-school student through the advanced-professional. The studio is also the home of the Dance Stop Company, a pre-professional, non-profit organization devoted to an extensive dance and performance experience. Additionally, Dance Stop Company received the 2010 Ovation Award for “Outstanding Ensemble” presented by the Cobb Arts Board, Inc.

Recipients of the 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 Reader’s Choice Award for “Best Dance Studio” given by “AroundAbout East Cobb,” Dance Stop is devoted to the community in which it resides. The Studio, Company, and Fitness Program has donated thousands of dollars to charities by hosting fitness and dance events. They are most proud of hosting “Breathe,” a concert which raised over $10,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

From September through December, the Dance Stop Company spends every weekend brightening the lives of Cobb and Marietta residents by performing at assisted living facilities, hospitals, fall festivals, parades, and numerous city and county civic events.

Within the last few years, Dance Stop Studios has expanded its curriculum and launched the Dance Stop Fitness Program, a popular and convenient fitness alternative to “membership only” facilities. The program offers classes in Yoga, Zumba, Fierce FUNk, Core/Cardio/Strength and Barre Sculpt.

Lynette Strickland, Director, along with her talented faculty, extend to you and yours an invitation to… Come Dance With Us!
