Different Styles of Dance Bra’s

Hi, I am Cyndi from bdancewear.com and in this instructional, I am going to show you things you might want to look for when you are purchasing a sports bra whether it is from our company or someone else.

  1. Convertible Sports Bra

The first bra we are going to look at is our convertible sports bra. The beauty of this bra is that it comes with a tie in the center front and the back has straps and loops that allow you to create a lot of different looks with this particular bra. This is actually my favorite of the sports bras because of its versatility. The front can be untied to provide a normal width in the front to give extra coverage and the straps in the back can be sewn off, can be twisted or can be arranged in a number of different ways. We have a whole video (The Best Dance Bra – The Convertible Bra) where we show the different looks that can be created with this bra.

  1. Basic Sports Bra

Probably our most popular bra is our typical, basic sports bra with straps. The top of this bra looks much like a tank top. The straps in the back of our sports bra is wide enough that you can fit two size 20 rhinestones across the top of the strap in the back. If you wanted to double up the rhinestones, you could cover the entire strap with two columns of size 20 rhinestones or create a pattern down the strap. We came up with this width for the straps specifically so that it was wide enough to create a lot of different patterns or designs on the straps and yet they are not too wide.

  1. Halter Bra

My second favorite bra is our halter bra because you can do so many things with it. The thing I like about the halter bra is that it has a nice open back. With the halter bra, you can either tie it at the back of your neck, criss cross the tie across the back, or create some kind of fancy design with the straps across your back.

  1. Bandeau Bra

The last bra that we have is the bandeau bra. This is great underneath things. Some people like it without straps but our Bandeau Bra has loops on the bra so that you can put a pair of clear straps in the loops or you can even attach flesh tone straps. Whatever you do, you should not dance in this bra if you are not putting straps on it. You need to make sure it stays up when you are dancing. I suggest you dance in it, make sure it stays up. Make sure it does not need to be tacked down or supported in any way.

Whether buying your sports bra from bdancewear.com or someone else, you want to make sure there is lining in the bra for proper coverage. Additionally, all of our bras have little openings where we have put a cup inside. However, you can easily just pop that cup right out if you do not want it in there. I personally would want cups so that you have a little bit extra protection when you are walking into a cold or hot arena. No matter what, you have that extra protection.  But that is strictly up to you. You can take a look at all of our bras on our website at bdancewear.com.

If you order this bra and you are on the edge between two sizes, go ahead and move on up to the next size. It will give you a little extra room. One other thing that I suggest with little kids is that you move them up to the next size so they have room to grow.
