Fusion Studios Interview with Sandra Barranco

Sandra BarrancoFusion Studios in Torrance, California is owned by Sandra Barranco. Fusion Studios is a place where students of all ages can come together and express themselves in the arts. They offers a full range of classes for all ages. They feature a wide spectrum of dance classes from ballet to acting and singing. It is their philosophy to push each student to their greatest potential.

According to Sandra, all of her teachers are professionals. In fact, Fusion’s high energy professional dance instructors are some of Los Angeles’ best and many of them actually drive from Los Angeles/Hollywood area to Torrance to teach their students. She believes that their teachers genuinely care about their students. They wish nothing but for their students to have the desire to embrace the arts as much as they do.

The Fusion team inspires students through the introduction of cutting edge choreography and positive reinforcement. Setting goals, accepting challenges and achieving objectives is life affirming. They take pride in their students and their accomplishments. Fusion Studios provides professional training and an inviting environment to help students excel in the arts they desire.

Fusion Studios’ Dance Team is a great place for a serious dancer to enhance their performance skills and take their dancing to the highest level.. When in this program, the classes required, dedication and responsibility needed, will enable the dancer to be a Madison Muratamore well rounded performer. To be a part of this team, everyone needs to audition. These dancers will attend competitions, conventions and local performances and be a part of something great and gain wonderful, long lasting memories.

Sandra tells us that her proudest moments coaching is when she is watching her students grow as dancers.

In Sandra’s opinion, the biggest mistake she sees dancers make is when they take classes that are too difficult for them. Trying to keep up in classes beyond their ability creates bad habits. Dancers need to take classes in their level which allows them to keep up with the other class members.

Sandra started teaching and choreographing in 1998 for various dance programs and competitive dance teams. She realized she has a way with children and wants them to have as much joy with dancing as she had. Sandra decided to open a studio when she found that just teaching left her unfulfilled and her class felt half full.  She wanted more – she wanted a class that was “full.”

Dancing has truly changed her life and has given her discipline and creativity. Sandra never thought she could be a part of something so grand. To see the students come into this space with such enthusiasm is what feeds her. This is a place where she hopes all students can build long lasting memories.
